Will things ever be the same again?

The final countdown.

Oh HELLO February!

Last month I mentioned that I did another fun shoot with Marianne Williams for Dapper Cadaver. She's so much fun to work with and BJ's props and fx work is SO COOL. I feel so lucky to be able to play with them. :D Here are a couple of pictures!

Check this lady out on dappercadaver.com, she's so detailed!

My favorite prop in the shop. The feegee mermaid! I leik mermaids.

The "Gorilla Wrench" heh heh..get it??

blüd plz.

I also did a shoot with one of my favorite friends Elody. We almost got arrested (apparently they don't need to post trespassing signs anymore...cool!) but it was fun.
Check out her work at Delicate Decay Photography. She doesn't even own photoshop. She's just got talent.

So far, 2012 is off to a great start. There have been great years, but over the past year the awesome things in my life have not only somehow gotten better, but even the annoying stuff that used to hang over me has become irrelevant and past-ly which enables me to enjoy all this awesome stuff even more.

Looking at the start of 2011, I was just starting Identity Thief and my art blew. I'm ashamed to re-post that crap so you can go look in the blog annals if you really want proof. I've learned enough in the past 12 months though to finally trust that I'll keep getting better so I've stopped beating myself up over shitty work that I do. I just know its a step to better work! And now I'm painting the very last pages of Identity Thief. Yay!

Mid 2011 things got suddenly excellent. I moved into the monster lair sold a bunch of prosthetics and finally had everything I'd ever wanted. I almost feel guilty that I've gotten to have my cake and eat it too. But why the hell shouldn't I have cake?!

The rest of the year was full of classic Rob and Meg moments and non-stop winning. (We're allergic to losing.) Somewhere in there was a robmeg renaissance and our wondertwin powers got even stronger. Its like all the fun and happy stuff I had in my own life was in a head on collision with someone else's and now its twice as fun and happy.

Enough wordarrhea.

Rob took this one. LOOK INTO MY EYE.

swifff...swiff...

I imagine that would be the sound a light switch pull might make when swinging back and forth in the dark.

But I haven't committed that to ink quite yet.....swiff....swiff......swiff....

Oh February, sneaking up on me again... and to think, just a month ago we looked like this:
